What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit registers an incorrect signal from the speaker in the right rear door. The fault may be in the module, in the signal wires or in the speaker, and the wiring is checked first.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the integrated audio module (IAM)
- Damaged signal wires to the speaker in the right rear door
- Internal fault in the speaker in the right rear door
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the integrated audio module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wires to the speaker in the right rear door and look for damage, short circuits or breaks
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the wires are not broken or short-circuited to each other
- 4If no wiring fault is found, have a workshop replace the integrated audio module
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
