What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) has detected that the signal from the microphone is too high. The signal wire is short-circuited to voltage, so the signal becomes too strong for the module.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to voltage on the signal wire between the module and the microphone
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the microphone and the module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Go through the wire between the module and the microphone and look for chafing or spots where it may have touched a live wire
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with voltage
- 4After the work, check that the microphone works and that the fault code does not return
