What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) has registered that it has become too hot internally. The cause may be a high ambient temperature or the module drawing too much power, and then the audio system does not work.
Possible causes
- Too high ambient temperature
- Too high power consumption in the control module
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and check whether it returns after the car has been driven for a while
- 2Consider whether the car has been standing in very high heat before the fault appeared, as this may be the cause
- 3If the fault keeps coming back, have a workshop check whether the module draws too much power
- 4For a permanent fault, have a workshop replace the integrated audio module
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not show again
