What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit checks the signal from the phone and has registered that it is too low. The signal wire has contact with ground, meaning the car body, and then the hands-free mode does not work.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground on the signal wire between the module and the phone
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the phone is properly connected and try the hands-free mode again
- 3Switch the ignition off and check the connectors at the integrated audio module and at the phone connection for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the phone has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not come back
