What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit checks the signal from the phone and has registered that it is too high. The signal wire is short-circuited to voltage, and then the hands-free mode does not work.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to voltage on the signal wire between the module and the phone
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2With the ignition off, check the connectors at the module and at the phone connection for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Go through the signal wire from the phone and look for chafing or spots where it may have touched another wire
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire from the phone has no contact with voltage
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that it does not return
