What does this fault code mean?
The supply voltage to the USB connection is too low, according to the IAM unit. The wire that feeds the USB socket is short-circuited to ground, and USB accessories then do not work.
Possible causes
- The supply voltage wire is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the USB socket are intact
- 2With the ignition off, check the connections in the USB socket and at the module for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Follow the supply wire to the USB socket and look for chafing or spots where it may touch the car body
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply wire has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 5After the work, check that the USB socket works and that the fault code does not come back
