What does this fault code mean?
The DC voltage on the signal wire to auxiliary input 2 (AUX2) is too low, according to the IAM unit. The signal wire is short-circuited to ground, and the AUX panel then does not work.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the AUX panel are intact
- 2Try the buttons and controls on the AUX panel and see whether any function responds at all
- 3With the ignition off, check the connections at the module and at the AUX panel for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire to AUX2 has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 5After the work, clear the fault code and check that the AUX panel works
