What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit monitors the signal to the speaker in the right front door and has registered that it is too low. This is because the signal wire has contact with ground, and then the speaker produces no sound and the parking assistance does not work.
Possible causes
- The signal wire to the speaker in the right front door is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1With the ignition off, check the connectors at the module and at the speaker in the right front door for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 2Follow the signal wire to the speaker in the right front door and look for chafing or spots where it may touch the car body
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire has no contact with ground (the car body)
- 4After the work, check that the sound from the speaker in the right front door and the parking assistance work and that the fault code does not come back
