What does this fault code mean?
The IAM unit checks the signal between the antenna amplifier and the window antennas and has received no signal at all. This is due to a break in the wire between them, and radio reception then becomes poor.
Possible causes
- Break in the signal wire between the antenna amplifier and the window antennas
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the radio are intact
- 2With the ignition off, check the connections at the antenna amplifier and at the window antenna for contact resistance, play and oxidation
- 3Follow the signal wire from the antenna amplifier to the window antennas and look for breaks or loose connectors
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal wire is not broken
- 5After the work, check that radio reception is good on both AM and FM
