What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) has found that the DC level on the wire coming from the AUX panel is too low. It shows up as the AUX panel working poorly or not at all.
Possible causes
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and test the AUX panel to see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check that the audio system fuses are intact; the location of each fuse is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Check the connectors at the AUX panel and the audio module for loose or corroded contacts
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable from the AUX panel is not in contact with ground (the car body)
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the integrated audio module (IAM) and the AUX panel with diagnostic equipment
