What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) has detected that the signal from the microphone is missing on the signal cable. It most often shows up as the microphone not working and the other party not hearing you during a hands-free call.
Possible causes
- Open circuit in the signal cable between the audio module and the microphone
- Damaged microphone
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and make a test call on hands-free to see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check that the fuses for the audio system and phone are intact; the location of each fuse is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Check the connectors at the microphone and the audio module for loose or corroded contacts
- 4Look for chafing or damage on the signal cable and use a multimeter to check that it is not broken
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the integrated audio module (IAM) and the microphone with diagnostic equipment
