What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) receives the vehicle speed from the central electronic module via the infotainment unit, and can also calculate it with its own GPS receiver. The fault is set if the speed data is unreasonable or missing on the MOST network.
Possible causes
- Problem with the MOST network
- Communication with the central electronic module (CEM) is disturbed or missing
- Communication with the infotainment control module (ICM) is disturbed or missing
What you can do
- 1Take a test drive and check whether the navigation position updates
- 2Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns after a test drive
- 3Do not replace the audio module first; replacing it probably will not solve the fault
- 4If the fault remains, have a workshop with diagnostic equipment continue the fault tracing in the brake control module (BCM) or the infotainment control module (ICM)
