What does this fault code mean?
The fault concerns the output power A of the control module, and the integrated audio module (IAM) alerts when the voltage is too low. Even though the code is named as a short circuit to ground, the condition is a voltage that is too low, and the short circuit is the listed cause.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground on the antenna cable
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and test the radio to see whether the fault comes back
- 2Check that the fuses for the radio and antenna system are intact
- 3Check the connectors at the antenna amplifier and the audio module for loose or corroded contacts
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the antenna cable is not in contact with ground (the car body)
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop check the integrated audio module (IAM) with diagnostic equipment
