What does this fault code mean?
The integrated audio module (IAM) checks its own internal temperature, and the fault is set when it is too high. The audio module can be switched off, so the audio system stops working.
Possible causes
- Ambient temperature too high
- Power consumption in the control module too high
- Damaged integrated audio module (IAM)
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and check whether the audio system works once the car has cooled down
- 2Check that the audio system fuses are intact; the location of each fuse is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3If the fault returns, have a workshop check the integrated audio module (IAM) with diagnostic equipment
