VOLVO
IAM-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Integrated Audio Module (IAM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
This code is only relevant to troubleshoot when it has been active for a longer time in the current drive cycle and you notice a malfunction that can be linked to it. The integrated audio module (IAM) compares its own DC voltage with the voltage in the central electronic module (CEM), and In other cases the code does not indicate a fault and can be cleared.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to ground in the power supply cable
- Open circuit in the power supply cable
What you can do
- 1If no function is affected: clear the code; it does not need to be remedied
- 2Check that the audio system fuses are intact; the location of each fuse is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Check that the battery terminals and earth connections are tight and free from oxidation
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the supply cable to the audio module is not in contact with ground (the car body) and is not broken
- 5If the function remains affected, have a workshop check the integrated audio module (IAM) with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice2
- The audio system does not work
- The audio unit does not work fully
