System

Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
5 modelsC30 (2007–2013), C30 Electric (2011–2013), C70 (2006–2013), S40 (2004–2013), V50 (2004–2013)
What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) has asked all control modules on the MOST network to switch off and checks that their internal relays have gone to standby. The fault is set if any of the control modules has not gone to standby a while after the key is taken out of the ignition lock, while there is no traffic on the MOST network. It most often shows up as a flat battery or low battery voltage.
Possible causes
- A control module on the MOST network is still active after the key is taken out of the ignition lock
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns after the car has stood still for a while after the key is removed
- 2Check the battery charge and that the battery terminals and cable connections are tight and free from oxidation
- 3Check whether other fault codes are stored in the control modules on the MOST network; they may show which modules are affected
- 4Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment find which control module on the MOST network does not go to standby, since the fault code does not point it out
- 5Replacing a control module does not solve this fault, so do not start by replacing any of them
Symptoms you may notice3
- The battery is flat
- The battery voltage is low
- Error message on the navigation screen
