What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) checks communication with the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM), and the fault code is stored when a fault is registered on it. The cause may be an internal fault in the tuner control module or the module being missing. It shows up as the radio not working.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM)
- The AM/FM tuner control module (AFM) is missing
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and check whether the radio works after a test drive
- 2Check that the radio fuses are intact; the location of each fuse is in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Have a workshop check that the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM) is connected and responds
- 4If the fault is permanent, have a workshop replace the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM)
