What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) monitors the link to the GPS module. The fault code is set when a fault is registered in communication with that module, and the car's position on the map may then be wrong or navigation may stop working.
Possible causes
- An internal problem in the GPS module (global positioning system)
- The global positioning system module (GPS) is missing
What you can do
- 1Read the code, clear it and drive the car to see whether the position on the map updates
- 2Check that the navigation fuses are intact; fuse locations are listed in the owner's manual or on the cover of the fuse box
- 3Have a workshop check with diagnostic equipment that the GPS module is fitted and responds
- 4If the fault is permanent, have a workshop replace the GPS module
Symptoms you may notice2
- The map shows the car in the wrong place
- Navigation does not work
