What does this fault code mean?
The ICM looks for any button on the left-hand keypad that is stuck down. The fault code is set when a button is registered as pressed for too long, and the buttons on the keypad may then stop working.
Possible causes
- A left-hand keypad button was held down for too long
- A button has jammed in the pressed position
- Short circuit inside the keypad
What you can do
- 1Press each button on the left-hand keypad and check that all of them spring back without sticking
- 2Look for dirt around a button or an object that stops it springing back
- 3Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns once the buttons have been tried
- 4If a button does not spring back, the keypad needs replacing; have a workshop do this
Symptoms you may notice1
- The buttons on the left-hand keypad do not work
