What does this fault code mean?

Possible causes
- Fault in the left-hand keypad: short to ground or open circuit
- Fault in the wire to the left-hand keypad: short to ground or open circuit
What you can do
- 1Press buttons 3, 6, 9 and the hash key and note whether any of them gives no response
- 2Read the code, clear it and drive the car to see whether it returns
- 3Look for damage and dirt at the plugs for the left-hand keypad; check for oxidation and play
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wire to the keypad has no break and no contact with ground; if no cause is found, a workshop can try a new keypad
