What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) checks whether the SOUND button has jammed. The fault code is set when the button is registered as pressed in for too long, and the keypad buttons may then stop working.
Possible causes
- The SOUND button has been held pressed for too long
- The SOUND button is jammed in the pressed position
What you can do
- 1Press the SOUND button a few times and check that it returns without sticking
- 2Check for dirt around the button and for any object that may stop it springing back
- 3Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns once the button has been tried
- 4A SOUND button that stays down means the keypad has to be swapped, which a workshop should do
