What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) measures the signal from the IR receiver for the remote control. The fault code is set when the signal is too low, and the remote control then does not work.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance
- Signal cable short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Point the remote control at the IR receiver and press a few buttons to see whether there is any response
- 2Read the code, clear it and check whether it returns after a test drive
- 3Check the connector to the IR receiver for contact resistance and play
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the signal cable to the IR receiver has no contact with ground; if no fault is found, a workshop can check the infotainment control module (ICM)
Symptoms you may notice1
