What does this fault code mean?
The AFM tuner is missing from the approved-device list held in the central electronic module (CEM). The fault code is set when the infotainment control module (ICM) finds this, and the tuner is then blocked so the radio does not work.
Possible causes
- The AM/FM tuner control module (AFM) was replaced with one that is not approved on the list in the central electronic module (CEM)
- Software was not downloaded when the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM) was replaced
- The software download to the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM) failed or was not completed
What you can do
- 1If the tuner has been replaced, have a workshop download the software and approve the control module in the car's system with diagnostic equipment
- 2Read the code, clear it and check whether the radio works after a test drive
- 3If the fault remains after the software download, have a workshop replace the AM/FM tuner control module (AFM)
