What does this fault code mean?
ICM checks the Accessory USB unit (AUU) against the register of approved units in the CEM. If AUU is missing from that register, the unit is blocked and the USB accessory does not work. The code is set when the absence is registered, usually after a swap where no software download followed.
Possible causes
- Replacing the Accessory USB unit with one the CEM register does not approve
- Software not downloaded when the Accessory USB unit was replaced
- The software download failed or was incomplete
What you can do
- 1Read the fault code, clear it and drive the car to see whether it returns
- 2If the Accessory USB unit has recently been replaced, check that its software was downloaded. The download is done by a workshop
- 3Check that the connectors to the Accessory USB unit are fully seated and free from corrosion
- 4If the fault remains after the software download, the unit may need replacing. Have a workshop assess this
