What does this fault code mean?
ICM sets the code when the signal on the wire to the display lighting is too low or missing altogether. The fault shows as a display that does not light. The cause is either that the display lighting is not connected or that it is damaged.
Possible causes
- The display lighting is not connected
- The display lighting is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact, then read the fault code and clear it
- 2Check that the display lighting connector is firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 3Use a multimeter to confirm the wire to the display lighting has continuity and is not shorted to earth
- 4If the fault remains with the connection and wire intact, the display lighting or the control module may need replacing. Have a workshop make that call
