What does this fault code mean?
ICM talks to the parking camera (PAC) over composite video on video input B. The code is set when ICM detects a faulty video signal, and the fault appears irregularly. The camera picture can therefore be unstable even when it does not disappear altogether.
Possible causes
- Sync signal from the CVBS video input reaches the control module incorrectly
- Loose connection on the composite video cable (CVBS) where it meets the control module
- Damaged wire running from the control module to the CVBS video input
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their positions are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Test the camera view with the buttons, controls or a drive, and note when the picture gets worse
- 3Check that the connectors at video input B and at the parking camera are seated firmly and not oxidised. Move them gently while watching the picture
- 4Inspect the video wire for chafing and breaks where it passes edges or moving parts. With a diagnostic tool, run the quick test and check whether the code returns
Symptoms you may notice3
