What does this fault code mean?
ICM talks to the front parking assistance camera through a composite video signal on video input C. The code is set when ICM finds that the video signal is absent. The camera and its wiring harness on the right-hand side of the tunnel are therefore the first parts to check.
Possible causes
- Sync signal from the CVBS video input reaches the control module incorrectly
- Loose connection on the composite video cable (CVBS) where it meets the control module
- Damaged wire running from the control module to the CVBS video input
What you can do
- 1Inspect the cabling tucked behind the front panel on the right side of the tunnel for chafing, breaks and loose connectors
- 2Check the fuse that belongs to the wiring harness. Its position is given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3Use a multimeter to confirm the wire to the camera has continuity and is not shorted to earth. With a diagnostic tool, run the self-test and check whether the code returns
- 4If the wiring harness and fuse are intact, the camera may need replacing. Have a workshop do that
Symptoms you may notice4
