What does this fault code mean?
ICM talks to the front parking assistance camera over composite video on video input C. The code is set when ICM finds the video signal to be faulty, and the fault comes and goes irregularly. The camera picture can therefore be unstable even if it does not disappear entirely.
Possible causes
- Sync signal from the CVBS video input reaches the control module incorrectly
- Loose connection on the composite video cable (CVBS) where it meets the control module
- Damaged wire running from the control module to the CVBS video input
What you can do
- 1Inspect the cabling tucked behind the front panel on the right side of the tunnel, looking for chafing where it passes edges
- 2Check the fuse on the wiring harness. Its position is given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 3Check that the connectors at the camera and at the control module are seated firmly and free from oxidation. Watch the picture while gently moving them
- 4With a diagnostic tool, run the self-test and check whether the code returns. Use a multimeter to see whether the wire loses contact
Symptoms you may notice4
- Other video problems
- Poor image quality or no picture on the front screen
- Parking assistance camera does not work, works partly or works incorrectly
