What does this fault code mean?
ICM tests whether the push-to-talk key or the NO key has jammed. The code is set when either has been held active for longer than allowed, even though the code is labelled button 2.
Possible causes
- The push-to-talk key or the NO key is stuck down
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Press the push-to-talk button and the NO button separately and see whether each one returns
- 3Check that the buttons move back freely without sticking, and clean away any visible dirt around them
- 4With a diagnostic tool, check in live data that each button value switches when its button is pressed. A workshop can replace the keypad if one is stuck
Symptoms you may notice4
- Buttons on the keypad do not work
- Steering wheel audio controls do not work
- The audio unit does not work
- On S80, V70 and XC70 built before the end of August 2008: the display on the audio unit or the radio does not work
