What does this fault code mean?
The infrared receiver in the centre-console keypad gets its supply from the infotainment control module (ICM), which monitors that supply. The code is set when the supply is shorted to earth while the module is switched on. The keypad then stops working, and so does the remote control.
Possible causes
- Short to earth in the supply to the infrared receiver
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Try the centre-console buttons and the remote control to see which functions are affected
- 3Use a multimeter to confirm the supply wire to the infrared receiver is not shorted to earth (the body). Check the connectors are firmly seated and oxide-free
- 4If the wire is intact, the receiver in the keypad may be damaged. A workshop should assess this
Symptoms you may notice2
- The centre-console keypad does not work
- The remote control does not work
