What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) monitors communication with the USB port, and the code is set when a fault on the port is detected. The cause may be a damaged wire, a damaged fuse, or an internal fault in the module. USB accessories do not work while the fault is present.
Possible causes
- Damaged wire
- Damaged fuse
- Internal fault inside the ICM unit
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Try another USB accessory. If it is not recognised either, the fault is likely in the port or its wire
- 3Check the USB cable for chafing, breaks and loose connectors
- 4With a diagnostic tool, run the self-test and check whether the code returns. If the fault remains, the infotainment control module may need replacing, which a workshop does
Symptoms you may notice1
