What does this fault code mean?
ICM talks to the integrated audio module (IAM) over a video signal on an LVDS link. The code is set when ICM finds that the video signal is absent. Although the code is labelled message missing, it is the video signal on video input D that is missing.
Possible causes
- Sync signal from the LVDS input reaches the control module incorrectly
- Loose contact at the LVDS cable's connection to the control module
- Damaged wire running from the control module to the LVDS input
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their positions are given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2Test the functions with buttons, controls or a short drive to see whether any picture appears
- 3Check that the connectors at the LVDS input and at the audio module are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4With a multimeter, check the video wire is continuous between the two modules. With a diagnostic tool, run the quick test and see whether the code returns
