What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) has detected a fault in the part that controls communication on the MOST network, the fibre-optic data bus that links the infotainment units. The fault normally lies in the ICM itself. If it is intermittent, it may have occurred when the module started up and may not be present now.
Possible causes
- A defect inside the infotainment control module (ICM)
- Disturbance at start-up of the module, if the fault has only occurred once
What you can do
- 1Switch the ignition off and on and check whether the infotainment functions return
- 2Check the fuses for the infotainment system
- 3Clear the code and check whether it returns; a single intermittent fault may be a temporary disturbance
- 4If the fault returns or is permanent, the infotainment control module needs replacing by a workshop
Symptoms you may notice4
- Audio unit does not work
- The display does not light up
- Infotainment functions do not work
- Phone functions work poorly or not at all
