What does this fault code mean?
ICM monitors the link to the multimedia module (MMM). Although the code is labelled navigation control module, it concerns communication with the MMM. The code is set when ICM registers a fault in that communication, and navigation then does not work.
Possible causes
- Internal fault inside the multimedia module (MMM)
- No multimedia module (MMM) fitted
- Damaged fuse
- Open circuit in the MOST cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2With a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes. If ICM-U1A2400 is stored, work through it first, as it can be caused by a break in the MOST network
- 3Check that the connectors in the MOST network are clean and firmly seated
- 4If the car has an aftermarket parking camera but no multimedia module, this code is not a fault to act on. Otherwise a workshop should decide whether the module needs replacing
