What does this fault code mean?
ICM monitors the link to the remote digital audio receiver (RDAR/DABM). Although the code is labelled digital sound control module A, it concerns the digital radio receiver. The code is set when ICM registers a communication fault, and digital radio then stops working.
Possible causes
- Internal fault inside the remote digital audio receiver (RDAR/DABM)
- No RDAR/DABM fitted
- Damaged fuse
- Break in the MOST cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact. Their locations are given in the owner's manual or on the fuse box cover
- 2With a diagnostic tool, read the fault codes. If codes for a MOST break are stored, work through those first
- 3Check that the MOST connectors to the digital radio receiver are clean and firmly seated
- 4If the fault remains, a workshop may need to check the digital radio receiver and the MOST cable
Symptoms you may notice1
- Digital radio does not work
