What does this fault code mean?
The phone module (PHM) is not on the approved list kept in the central electronic module (CEM). The code may be caused by a faulty control module being fitted, or by software that was not downloaded or failed during the replacement. The phone functions are then blocked.
Possible causes
- A faulty control module is fitted
- Software was not downloaded when the control module was replaced
- The software download failed or was incomplete
What you can do
- 1Has the phone module recently been replaced? If so, the fault is probably that the software was not downloaded correctly
- 2Have a workshop download new software to the phone module and check that the download completes
- 3If the fault remains after the software download: have a workshop replace the phone module
- 4Switch the ignition on for a while after the repair and check that the code is not stored again
