What does this fault code mean?
The Infotainment Theft Protection (ITP) function does not approve the accessory USB unit (AUU) because it is not on the list of approved control modules stored in the CEM. The fault occurs when a control module has been replaced with a unit that is not approved, or when the software was not downloaded properly. The USB functions then stop working.
Possible causes
- Replacement with an accessory USB unit (AUU) that is not approved in the list in the CEM
- Software was not downloaded when the control module was replaced
- The software download failed or was incomplete
What you can do
- 1Has the accessory USB unit recently been replaced? Check that the new unit is approved for this car
- 2Have a workshop download the correct software to the control module. The software stores the control module's serial number in the CEM so that the theft protection approves it
- 3If the fault remains after the software download: have a workshop replace the accessory USB unit
- 4Switch the ignition on for a while after the repair and check that the code is not stored again
Symptoms you may notice2
- The USB accessory does not work at all
- Functions linked to the USB unit do not work
