What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment control module (ICM) has picked up a fault in its communication with the subwoofer module (SUB). The code is generic and does not say what type of fault it is. The subwoofer then produces no sound.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the subwoofer module (SUB)
- Subwoofer module (SUB) missing
- Blown fuse
- Open circuit in the MOST cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the subwoofer module is fitted and that its connectors are seated and free from corrosion
- 3Look for damage to the MOST cable, such as chafing or kinks
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the subwoofer and listen for whether sound comes from it
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop troubleshoot the control module that sends the signal to the subwoofer module, and replace the subwoofer module if needed
