What does this fault code mean?
The subwoofer module (SUB) is not approved by Infotainment Theft Protection (ITP), because it is not on the list of approved control modules in the CEM. The fault occurs after the subwoofer module has been replaced, when the new unit does not match the list, or when the software has not been downloaded. The subwoofer then produces no sound.
Possible causes
- Replacement with a subwoofer module (SUB) that is not approved under the list in the CEM
- Software was not downloaded when the control module was replaced
- The software download failed or was incomplete
What you can do
- 1Has the subwoofer module recently been replaced? Check that the new unit is approved for this car
- 2Have a workshop download new software to the subwoofer module. The software stores the control module's serial number in the CEM so that the theft protection approves it
- 3If the fault remains after the software download: have a workshop replace the subwoofer module
- 4Switch the ignition on for a while after the repair and check that the code is not stored again
Symptoms you may notice1
- No sound from the subwoofer
