ICM-U300362 - Battery Voltage. Algorithm Based Failures. Signal compare failure
System
Infotainment Control Module (ICM)
Volvo models this fault code applies to
Applies to the following models:
9 modelsS60 (2011–), S80 (2007–), V40 (2013–), V40 Cross Country (2013–), V60 (2011–), V60 Cross Country (2015–), V70 (2008–), XC60 (2009–), XC70 (2008–)
What does this fault code mean?
The code is linked to the voltage supply to the infotainment control module (ICM). It is only relevant to troubleshoot when it has been active for a longer time in the current driving cycle and you notice a loss of function that can be linked to it. Otherwise the code can be cleared with no further action. The code is generic and does not say what type of fault it is.
Possible causes
- Contact resistance
- Damaged supply voltage cable
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connectors in the supply voltage to the infotainment control module are seated and free from corrosion. Contact resistance can disturb the voltage
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply cable has no open circuit or damage, and twist and move the cable while measuring
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: compare the battery voltage in live data with a multimeter reading taken at the battery
- 5If the code is still stored after these checks: have a workshop troubleshoot the supply voltage with diagnostic equipment
Symptoms you may notice3
- Infotainment functions do not work
- Missing or reduced function in the phone
- On older S80 (07-), V70 (08-) and XC70 (08-) built before late August 2008: the audio unit or radio does not work
