Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The electric rear axle drive control module (IEM) calculates the torque in two processors and compares the results. If they do not agree in range and precision, the code is set while driving in gear D or R. The fault sits in the control module, and it concerns a safety function of the rear axle drive. Electric propulsion is then not possible.
Possible causes
- Software fault in the electric rear axle drive control module (IEM)
- Internal fault in the voltage converter (ISC)
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop read the fault codes in the IEM and download new software if needed. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 2Have a workshop check the voltage converter (ISC) if the fault remains after the software download
- 3Do not carry out any work on the high voltage system yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again while driving in gear D or R
Symptoms you may notice4
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Drive mode PURE disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode AWD disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode HYBRID: the combustion engine runs all the time or too often
What the fault can affect2
- Electric propulsion is not possible
- Brake energy regeneration from the electric rear axle is not possible
