Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The electric rear axle drive control module (IEM) has an internal memory that stores the vehicle configuration and calibration data. Here the calibration file is missing or wrong, and the code is set with the ignition on once the test has started. The causes are that calibration has not been done or has failed, that the calibration or parameter memory is incorrect, or that the internal memory is damaged. Electric propulsion is then not possible.
Possible causes
- Calibration not completed
- Calibration failed
- The calibration or parameter memory is incorrect, incompatible or not programmed
- Damaged or incorrect internal memory
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop carry out the calibration of the electric rear axle drive control module and check that it passes. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 2Have a workshop download the latest software if the fault remains after the calibration
- 3Do not carry out any work on the control module yourself
- 4After the repair, read out the fault codes with the ignition on and check that the code is not stored again
Symptoms you may notice4
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Drive mode PURE disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode AWD disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode HYBRID: the combustion engine runs all the time or too often
What the fault can affect2
- Electric propulsion is not possible
- Brake energy regeneration from the electric rear axle is not possible
