Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named incorrectly assembled, it applies when the clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC) has registered minor faults, or when its temperature is too high. The driver notices no symptoms, and the car is not affected by the code. The causes are poor cooling of the electric rear axle, a software fault in the IEM, a damaged DCC, or an internal fault in the electric rear axle.
Possible causes
- Poor cooling of the electric rear axle (ERAD)
- Software fault in the electric rear axle drive control module (IEM)
- The clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC) is damaged
- Internal fault in the electric rear axle (ERAD)
What you can do
- 1Check the coolant level and look for leaks, since poor cooling of the electric rear axle is one of the causes
- 2Have a workshop check the clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC) and download new software to the IEM if needed. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 3Do not carry out any work on the clutch control or the electric rear axle yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again
Symptoms you may notice1
- No noticeable symptoms for the driver
