Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
Although the code is named clutch actuator stuck, it concerns the electric rear axle drive control module's (IEM) request to close the clutch, which is not followed by the clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC). The fault is set in gear D or R. The causes are a software fault or an internal fault in the DCC, or mechanical damage to the clutch in the rear axle. Electric propulsion is then not possible.
Possible causes
- Software fault in the clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC)
- Internal fault in the clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC)
- The clutch in the electric rear axle has mechanical damage
What you can do
- 1Have a workshop download new software to the clutch control and check the clutch in the electric rear axle. High voltage systems may only be handled by qualified personnel
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: check the clutch control status in live data, if it is available, and see whether it responds to the request
- 3Do not carry out any work on the clutch yourself
- 4After the repair, check that the code is not stored again and that electric propulsion works
Symptoms you may notice4
- Text window and warning symbol with a text message
- Drive mode PURE disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode AWD disengages automatically or is unavailable
- Drive mode HYBRID: the combustion engine runs all the time or too often
What the fault can affect2
- Electric propulsion is not possible
- Brake energy regeneration from the electric rear axle is not possible
