What does this fault code mean?
The electric rear axle drive module (IEM) keeps watch over the electric rear axle ERAD. The code is stored when ERAD takes too long to slow down to lower speed after it has been disengaged. The fault is only checked during driving in gear D or R.
Possible causes
- The DCC clutch controller for the electric rear axle has stuck in the closed position
- Clutch control for the electric rear axle (DCC) is damaged
- The clutch in ERAD has mechanical damage
What you can do
- 1Read out, clear the code and road test in D or R to see whether the fault returns
- 2If you have diagnostic equipment: follow the ERAD speed in live data when you lift off the accelerator and see whether it falls steadily instead of lingering
- 3Have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the clutch control (DCC) and the clutch in ERAD
- 4Do not work on the electric rear axle or its high voltage system yourself; have a workshop carry out those checks
