Applies to the following models:
1 modelV60 (2011–)
Show models by year and engine (2)
What does this fault code mean?
The high voltage generator control module (IGM) monitors the high voltage system and its functions. The code concerns an open circuit in the high voltage link from the battery to the ISC. It is only checked once the vehicle is in driving position, meaning the car has been cranked and either the electric or the combustion engine has started.
Possible causes
- The high voltage battery main fuse is damaged
- Oxidation, contact resistance or loose contacts at the connections between the high voltage battery and the ISC
- Open circuit on the high voltage cable, or a short circuit from the high voltage cable to ground
- Wiring from the high voltage battery to the ISC is damaged
- Internal fault inside the ISC voltage converter or in the high voltage battery
- Internal fault in the electric compressor control module (ACCM)
What you can do
- 1Read out, clear the code, start the car and see whether it returns
- 2Have a workshop check the battery main fuse and the connections between the battery and the voltage conversion unit ISC
- 3The high voltage system may only be handled by a workshop; do not work on fuses, cables or connections in it yourself
Symptoms you may notice5
- Warning symbol and text message in the display
- Warning about power supply problems from the alternator and charge regulator
- Charging of the high voltage battery while driving is absent, reduced or not working correctly
- High voltage battery is discharged or charges poorly
- HYBRID drive mode: the combustion engine is active all the time or too often
What the fault can affect1
- The high voltage battery cannot be charged by the combustion engine
