What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment head unit (IHU) sends the picture to the television module (TVM) over a composite video signal. The code is stored when the control module receives no video signal. It is only tested while the quick test for checking the video signal is active.
Possible causes
- Wrong synchronisation signal on the video input to the control module
- Loose connection where the composite video cable (CVBS) connects to the control module
- Damaged cable between the control module and the composite video input (CVBS)
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connectors on the video cable are firmly seated in the head unit and the TV module and free from oxidation
- 3Check that the video cable has no chafing or damage along its entire length
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: run the quick test for checking the video signal and see whether the fault returns
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the video signal further
Symptoms you may notice3
