What does this fault code mean?
The infotainment head unit (IHU) receives the picture from the front parking assistance camera over a composite video signal. The code is stored when the control module receives no video signal from the camera. It is only tested while the quick test for checking the video signal is active.
Possible causes
- Incorrect synchronisation signal between the video input and the control module
- Loose connection where the video cable connects to the control module
- Damaged cable between the control module and the video input
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses are intact
- 2Check that the connector to the parking assistance camera is firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 3Check that the video cable between the camera and the head unit has no chafing or damage
- 4If you have a diagnostic tool: run the quick test for checking the video signal and note whether the control module still reports that the signal is missing
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the camera and video signal further
Symptoms you may notice3
