The head unit (IHU) monitors voltage on the AUX2 output's signal wires. The code is stored when the voltage on the signal wire is too high, which points to a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Possible causes
- The signal wire is short-circuited to supply voltage
What you can do
- 1Read and clear the code, then check whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Disconnect the accessory from the AUX input and see whether the code clears
- 4Check the AUX cable for chafing or damage, especially where it may have touched a live wire
- 5If the fault remains, have a workshop trace the AUX input and the wiring further
Symptoms you may notice1
