What does this fault code mean?
The head unit (IHU) takes its settings from the car's configuration file, which the central electronic module (CEM) supplies. The code is stored when that file is not received at start-up.
Possible causes
- The vehicle configuration data cannot be obtained
- A break in the CAN link between the head unit (IHU) and the CEM
- The CEM is not correctly configured
- The CEM does not send out the car's signal configuration over CAN
What you can do
- 1Clear the code and check whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses are intact
- 3Check that the connectors in the CAN network connections are firmly seated and free from oxidation
- 4If the code comes back, have a workshop check the central electronic module (CEM) first
Symptoms you may notice2
- The audio unit does not fully work
- Other navigation problems
